Mon May 05 12:20:40 UTC 2025: ## Karnataka Government School Achieves Eight Years of 100% SSLC Pass Rate

**Shivamogga, Karnataka, May 5, 2025** – The government high school in Attavara, Hassan taluk, has achieved a remarkable feat: an eight-year streak of 100% pass rates in the SSLC (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) examination. Since 2017, all 210 students who appeared for the exam from the school have successfully passed. This year, all 25 students passed, with seven achieving distinction and fourteen securing first-class scores, resulting in a quality weightage percentage of 86.95.

The school attributes its consistent success to a comprehensive program implemented eight years ago under then-headmaster K.P. Narayan (now Block Education Officer of Arakalgud taluk). This initiative includes monthly unit tests, regular home visits by teachers, frequent parent-teacher interactions, group study sessions, and extra classes both morning and evening. Incentives are also provided to top-performing students.

Teachers emphasize the crucial role of parental involvement. Regular meetings with parents ensure students maintain focus on their studies at home. The school proactively identifies and provides additional support to struggling students. One high-achieving student, Lakshmi, credited the teachers’ surprise tests for helping her concentrate on areas requiring more attention.

The school’s impressive record has led to increased enrollment, with parents actively choosing the school for their children, even those considered slow learners whom some private schools might dismiss. The school’s commitment to supporting all students, regardless of their academic background, is a key factor in its sustained success.
