**Madanapalle, India (May 5, 2025)** – One hundred and seventy female students from the Madanapalle Institute of Technology and Science (MITS) in Andhra Pradesh’s Annamayya district have received the prestigious AICTE Pragati Scholarship. The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) initiative provides financial assistance to deserving students from underprivileged backgrounds pursuing technical education.

Each recipient will receive ₹50,000 (approximately $600 USD), totaling ₹85 lakh ($1 million USD) in scholarships. MITS principal C. Yuvaraj lauded the program, stating it alleviates financial strain and encourages women to excel in engineering and technology. He highlighted the scholarship’s crucial role in achieving gender parity within the field.
