**Hyderabad, May 5, 2025** – Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, announced a significant investment in Telangana’s road infrastructure during a visit on Monday. The projects, totaling billions of rupees, aim to improve connectivity to key areas, including the renowned Medaram tribal fair and the historic town of Bhadrachalam.

Gadkari inaugurated projects worth ₹3,890 crore, including the four-laning of National Highway 363 and the construction of underpasses to enhance wildlife safety near Kawal Tiger Reserve. He also laid foundation stones for numerous other development initiatives.

Among the newly announced projects are the four-laning of the Hyderabad-Bhupalapatnam stretch of NH 163, boosting trade and tourism to Medaram. The Rudrampur-Bhadrachalam road will also be upgraded to four lanes. Further improvements include the upcoming Bodhan-Armoor road, connecting to the Ramagundam industrial hub, and the four-laning of the Armoor-Jagtial-Mancherial highway (pending cabinet approval). The Jagtial-Karimnagar highway’s four-laning will begin within three months, reducing travel time between Jagtial and Warangal.

A major highlight is the planned upgrade of the Hyderabad-Nagpur stretch of NH-44 into a six-lane high-speed economic corridor. A Detailed Project Report is currently under preparation. This upgrade is expected to significantly reduce travel time and boost regional trade.
