**Miami, FL** – McLaren’s Oscar Piastri secured a dominant victory at the Miami Grand Prix, beating teammate Lando Norris in a thrilling race that saw the McLaren duo battle fiercely with early leader Max Verstappen. Piastri, starting fourth, executed a masterful race, overtaking Mercedes’ Kimi Antonelli and Verstappen to take the lead and maintain a comfortable advantage to the finish line. This marks Piastri’s fourth win in six races this season and his third consecutive victory.

Norris, who dropped to sixth after a first-lap incident, fought his way back through the field, eventually finishing second to give McLaren a stunning one-two finish, mirroring their sprint race result. The victory extends Piastri’s lead in the drivers’ championship to 16 points over Norris.

The race also saw controversy surrounding Ferrari’s strategy. Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc engaged in tense radio exchanges regarding team orders, with Hamilton later explaining his decisions were based on team benefit. Both Ferrari drivers ultimately expressed frustration with the team’s race management. Investigations are underway into several incidents, including a yellow flag infringement by Pierre Gasly and a last-lap collision between Carlos Sainz and Hamilton.

Mercedes’ George Russell completed the podium in third, keeping Verstappen at bay for a significant portion of the race. Verstappen finished fourth, followed by Alexander Albon in fifth.

McLaren team principal Andrea Stella praised the car’s performance in the hot conditions, while Piastri attributed his success to the team’s hard work and the car’s exceptional race pace. The win gives McLaren a commanding 105-point lead in the constructors’ championship. Williams also had a strong showing, securing double points to extend their lead over Haas.
