**New Delhi, May 5, 2025** – Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta held a high-level meeting with BJP MLAs Sunday to address concerns about monsoon preparedness following recent severe waterlogging in the city. The meeting, held ahead of a planned two-day special session of the Delhi Assembly (May 13-14), focused on improving government-public engagement and tackling civic infrastructure issues.
The Assembly session will address key issues including the regulation of private school fees, monsoon readiness, and improvements to drainage and road infrastructure. CM Gupta emphasized the importance of the ongoing 20-day cleanliness campaign and the strict implementation of schemes like Ayushman Bharat and Vay Vandana Yojana. MLAs raised constituency-specific concerns, and the CM assured them of departmental action.
The Opposition Congress, however, dismissed the cleanup campaign as an unfulfilled promise and criticized the government for failing to address long-standing civic issues. The BJP responded by criticizing the Congress leader as publicity-seeking.
In a separate development, CM Gupta launched the Medico Legal Examination and Post-mortem Reports System (MedLEaPR), a digital platform aimed at streamlining the submission of medico-legal reports and post-mortem documents. The CM touted the system as a significant step towards improving justice delivery and public service.
