Mon May 05 12:40:00 UTC 2025: ## CBSE Board Class 10 and 12 Result Date 2025: No Official Announcement Yet, 44 Lakh Students Await Scores
**New Delhi, India** – Over 44 lakh students across India are eagerly awaiting the announcement of their CBSE Class 10 and 12 results for the 2025 academic year. While speculation abounds, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially stated that no date has yet been set for the release of results.
A fake notice circulating on social media claiming the results would be released on May 2nd has been debunked by the CBSE. The board urged students and parents to disregard unverified information and await an official announcement.
The exams themselves were held between February 15th and March 18th, 2025, with 24.12 lakh students appearing for Class 10 exams across 84 subjects and 17.88 lakh students for Class 12 exams across 120 subjects. The passing percentage requires 33% marks in Class 10 (combining theory and internal assessment) and 33% separately in theory and practical papers for Class 12. Grace marks may be awarded in cases where students miss the passing criteria by a small margin.
Once announced, results will be available on the official CBSE websites: cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in, cbseresults.nic.in, and cbseservices.digilocker.gov.in. Students can also access their results via the UMANG app and an Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) by dialing 24300699 (with area code). The initial results provided online will be provisional; students must collect their original mark sheets from their respective schools. The mark sheet will include student details, subject-wise marks, and qualifying status.
The CBSE is expected to release an official update on the result date and time this week. Last year, the results were announced on May 13th.
