**Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh –** The Rotary Club of Visakhapatnam and the Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AMTZ) launched “Samajikam 2025,” a collaborative initiative focused on empowering communities through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), on Saturday. The event, inaugurated by AMTZ CEO and MD Jitendra Sharma, highlights a partnership leveraging AMTZ’s healthcare innovations and Rotary’s humanitarian efforts to achieve large-scale social impact.
Sharma emphasized the synergy between the two organizations, citing AMTZ’s assistive technology center, community health initiatives, and “Made in India” hospitals as key tools for empowerment. Rotary District Governor M. Venkateswara Rao highlighted Rotary’s global reach and grassroots presence as ideal for amplifying CSR efforts. He lauded the collaboration as a significant step towards tech-enabled social change.
The event also saw the launch of “Amruth,” a flagship CSR program aimed at preventing cervical cancer among adolescent girls by providing HPV vaccinations. Already, over 1,000 girls have received vaccinations through the program, led by Muralikrishna of Mahatma Gandhi Cancer Hospital. The partnership between AMTZ and the Rotary Club marks a significant commitment to community development and healthcare in the Visakhapatnam region.
