HYDERABAD: Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has instructed officials to expedite the selection process for beneficiaries of the Indiramma housing scheme. He chaired a review meeting on Friday, directing that the selected beneficiary list must be approved by the in-charge ministers. The minister stipulated that the houses should not exceed 600 square feet and that 500 houses should be constructed in urban areas of each constituency. He also announced that Bhoomi Bharathi conferences will be held in 28 mandals from May 5th to 20th.

A video conference was held with district collectors and SPs, along with CS Ramakrishna Rao, to discuss Bhoomi Bharathi, Indiramma housing, and NEET exam arrangements. The minister clarified that even if construction is underway, houses will be cancelled if beneficiaries are found ineligible, irrespective of lists 1, 2, or 3. The focus should be on selecting the poorest, he emphasized.
