Fri May 02 17:18:02 UTC 2025: ## VHP Condemns Attacks on Kashmiris, Calls for Measured Response to Pahalgam Terror

**NEW DELHI, May 2, 2025** – Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) working president Alok Kumar today condemned the recent attacks targeting Kashmiris, particularly students, across India. While acknowledging the gravity of the situation, Kumar cautioned against using these incidents to silence criticism of “jihad” and perceived threats to “Sanatan Dharma.”

Kumar specifically referenced the Pahalgam attack, which claimed 26 lives, as evidence that terrorism has a religious dimension, citing the terrorists’ targeting of Hindus based on religious identification. He stressed that this should not justify attacks on innocent Kashmiris.

Regarding India’s seemingly delayed response to the attack, Kumar invoked the Ramayana, suggesting that India, like Ram, is waiting for the opportune moment to retaliate. He affirmed that a full-scale response to the Pahalgam attack is forthcoming.

Kumar further criticized calls for de-escalation with Pakistan, asserting that such demands are unethical given India’s victim status in the conflict.
