**Gadag, Karnataka, May 1, 2025** – Gadag police have arrested one suspect and launched a manhunt for two others in connection with the alleged gang rape of a minor girl at a local lodge. The incident, which occurred earlier this week, prompted the filing of a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The complaint was filed by the victim’s mother, naming Mohammed Sameer, Mohammed Umar, and Zakir Hussein as the perpetrators. Police Superintendent B.S. Nemagouda confirmed the arrest and stated that a special team, BELAGAVIA, has been formed to apprehend the remaining two absconding accused. The investigation is ongoing.
