Wed Apr 30 00:50:00 UTC 2025: ## Pakistan Claims India Plans Imminent Military Action

**Islamabad:** Tensions between India and Pakistan have escalated following a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, which killed 26 tourists. A Pakistani minister has issued a stark warning, claiming that India is planning a military operation against Pakistan within the next 24-36 hours. The minister cited intelligence reports as the basis for this claim.

This statement comes after Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi reportedly gave the military a free hand to respond to the Pahalgam attack. Pakistan’s Information Minister, Fawad Chaudhry, expressed anger at India’s response, while simultaneously claiming Pakistan’s willingness to cooperate in a neutral and transparent investigation into the attack. However, Chaudhry’s statement also contained a veiled threat of strong retaliation should India proceed with the alleged military action.

Reports indicate that India is indeed preparing a strong response, with the military reportedly relocating militants in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) to army shelters and bunkers. Following a high-level meeting Tuesday at PM Modi’s residence, the Indian government confirmed it has given the military full authority to decide when and how to retaliate against cross-border terrorism. The escalating situation points to a highly volatile situation in the region.
