**Ottawa, Canada –** A 21-year-old Indian student, Vanshika, who went missing in Ottawa, Canada, on Friday, April 25th, has been found dead, the Indian High Commission confirmed on Monday, April 28th. Vanshika disappeared after leaving her residence to view a rental property. Her phone was switched off around 11:40 p.m. that night, and she missed an exam the following day, behavior described as entirely out of character.
The Indian High Commission, in collaboration with local Indo-Canadian associations, launched an appeal for information following her disappearance. The Hindu Community in Ottawa also expressed deep concern and urged Ottawa Police Service Chief Eric Stubbs to prioritize the investigation.
