**Hyderabad, April 29, 2025** – The Telangana High Court dismissed a case against K.T. Rama Rao (KTR), working president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), on Monday. The case stemmed from allegations that KTR made false accusations against Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.

KTR had alleged that Reddy collected ₹2500 crore from contractors and builders for Lok Sabha election expenses and funneled the money to the Congress high command in Delhi. A Congress leader, Bathini Srinivas Rao, filed a complaint alleging that KTR’s statements were defamatory and intended to incite hatred. However, the High Court, after hearing KTR’s petition to quash the case, ruled that the charges did not align with the sections of law cited.

Separately, KTR reported a back injury sustained during a workout at the gym. He announced this on X (formerly Twitter), stating that doctors have advised him to rest for several days. Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan wished KTR a speedy recovery.
