**Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, April 22, 2025** – A suspected militant attack on a group of tourists in Pahalgam, a popular tourist destination in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, has resulted in multiple fatalities and injuries. The attack, which occurred Tuesday afternoon, is being described by Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah as “much larger than anything we’ve seen directed at civilians in recent years.”
