**Pudukottai, Tamil Nadu – April 22, 2025** – At least ten people were injured during a jallikattu bull-taming event held in Viralimalai, Pudukottai district on Tuesday. Police sources reported that 650 bulls participated, with approximately 300 tamers taking part. Eight individuals received on-site treatment, while two sustained more serious injuries and were transferred to the Government Hospital in Viralimalai. The event, a traditional Tamil Nadu sport, continues to draw large crowds despite occasional injuries.
