HYDERABAD, India (April 19, 2025) – A large-scale public awareness exhibition on fire safety and disaster preparedness opened today in Hyderabad as part of Fire Service Week 2025. The event, held at HMDA Grounds, features live demonstrations and interactive displays showcasing fire-fighting equipment, rescue tools, and flood rescue apparatus.
Special Chief Secretary Ravi Gupta inaugurated the exhibition and flagged off a fire and emergency response vehicle rally. Director General of Fire Services Y. Nagi Reddy highlighted the exhibition’s goal of educating citizens on fire prevention and rescue operations. Displays include protective gear such as chemical suits and breathing apparatus, as well as flood rescue equipment like sonar scanners and inflatable boats.
The exhibition, which runs until April 20th, offers visitors hands-on experience and interactions with fire officials. The Director General emphasized the importance of community understanding of fire safety and disaster resilience, urging residents to attend the event.
