Tue Apr 15 15:10:00 UTC 2025: ## Local Mechanic and Air Force Veteran Brian Dries Passes Away at 63

**Emmaus, PA –** Brian Dries, a longtime resident of South Whitehall Township and certified master diesel technician, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at the age of 63. He is survived by his wife, Denise; son Michael; daughter-in-law Hilary; step-children; grandchildren Kendrick, Gideon, Henry, Jane, Dmitri, and Alina; sister Peggy; and brother-in-law Earl.

Dries, born in Allentown on September 16, 1961, graduated from Emmaus High School and later earned an Associate’s Degree from Lehigh Carbon Community College. He proudly served his country in the Air Force. Throughout his life, he enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including working on cars and trucks, cycling, home improvement projects, and traveling to Europe. He dedicated many years of his career to TransEdge Truck Centers in Allentown as a certified master diesel technician.

A service celebrating his life will be held at Schantz Funeral Home, 250 Main St, Emmaus, on Saturday, April 26, 2025. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, followed by the service at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Dries’ memory.
