Sun Apr 13 12:20:00 UTC 2025: ## Teen Sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi Spars with Jofra Archer in IPL Nets

**Jaipur, India** – 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi, the youngest player in IPL history, made headlines again after a practice session against England’s fiery fast bowler Jofra Archer. A video posted by the Rajasthan Royals (RR) on X showed the two facing off in the nets ahead of RR’s crucial match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Jaipur on Sunday.

Suryavanshi, who was surprisingly picked up by RR for ₹1.1 crore last year, held his own against Archer, showcasing impressive technique and nerve by skillfully ducking and driving the seasoned pro’s deliveries. The young Bihar-born batter, whose first-class debut came at just 12 years old, has already made a name for himself with a century in an India U19 match against Australia and a strong performance in the ACC Under 19 Asia Cup.

While Suryavanshi is yet to make his IPL debut, Archer, currently boasting five wickets in five matches for RCB, provided a stern test. The encounter served as a compelling preview ahead of RR’s home game at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. RR currently sits seventh in the IPL standings (2-3), while RCB is in fourth place (3-2). The match promises to be a high-stakes encounter as both teams look to improve their positions in the tournament.
