Sun Apr 13 06:20:00 UTC 2025: **JDU to Celebrate B.R. Ambedkar’s Jayanti with ‘Bhim Samvad’ Program**
PATNA, Bihar — The Janata Dal (United) (JDU) will organize a “Bhim Samvad” program on Sunday to commemorate the birth anniversary of B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will be the chief guest at the event, which will be held at Bapu Sabhagar in Patna.
According to Rural Works Minister Ashok Chaudhary, the program will be attended by several prominent figures including Union Ministers Lalan Singh and Ramnath Thakur, JDU national working president Sanjay Jha, state president Umesh Kushwaha, senior ministers Vijay Chaudhary and Sunil Kumar, and numerous other party ministers, MPs, MLAs, and Scheduled Caste cell office-bearers and workers.
The JDU is also encouraging its workers to light diyas at their homes on Monday, celebrating Ambedkar’s Jayanti as a festival of light (Deepavali). Chaudhary emphasized that the event is a tribute to Ambedkar’s ideology and contributions and reflects the party’s commitment to his ideals. He highlighted Chief Minister Kumar’s efforts to empower socially, economically, and politically disadvantaged communities, particularly Dalits, throughout his tenure. Chaudhary praised Kumar as a visionary leader deeply committed to the development of all sections of society and lauded his work for the empowerment of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
