**Salem, April 12, 2025** – A 45-year-old coconut seller died in a road accident on Saturday on the Salem-Coimbatore National Highway near Chinna Seeragapadi. Udhayakumar, riding his two-wheeler to work, was struck by a tempo van. The impact killed him instantly. A woman waiting for a bus at the same location was also hit and sustained injuries; she is currently receiving treatment at Salem Government Hospital. Attaiyampatti police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
