**KOTTAYAM, April 11, 2025** – Approximately 15 people were hospitalized after suffering from food poisoning following consumption of kuzhimanthi from a restaurant in Kanjirappally, Kottayam, on Friday. Health officials, responding to a complaint, inspected the establishment and found unsanitary conditions and employees working without health cards. As a result, authorities have ordered the temporary closure of the restaurant pending further investigation. The affected individuals are receiving treatment at various hospitals.
