**Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh:** The Andhra Pradesh Intermediate (Inter) examination results for both first and second-year students were announced today, April 12th, 2024, by state Education Minister Nara Lokesh. A record-high pass percentage was recorded this year, marking the highest in the past decade.
Minister Lokesh released the results at 11:00 AM. A total of 10,17,102 students appeared for the examinations. Students can access their results through various channels: the AP Inter Board website (https://resultsbie.ap.gov.in), the Hindustan Times Telugu website, and via WhatsApp by messaging “Hi” to 9552300009.
The overall pass percentage shows a significant improvement. First-year students achieved a 70% pass rate, while second-year students achieved an impressive 83%. Government and government-aided junior colleges saw particularly significant improvements, with a 69% pass rate for second-year students in government colleges – the highest in the last 10 years. First-year students in government colleges achieved a 47% pass rate, the second highest in the past decade.
District-wise results reveal Krishna district topping both first and second-year results with 85% and 93% pass rates respectively. Guntur district secured the second position in both categories. Chittor district recorded the lowest pass percentage in both first and second years at 54% and 73% respectively.
Girls once again outperformed boys, with a 71% pass rate for first-year girls compared to 64% for boys, and an 81% pass rate for second-year girls against 75% for boys. The pass percentage for vocational courses stood at 71%.
The Inter examinations concluded on March 20th, and the evaluation process, involving 25 centers, began on March 17th and was completed in four phases. The results were released swiftly after the computerization process was completed.
