**Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh –** The NTR District administration announced ambitious plans for tourism and infrastructure development on Friday. District Collector G. Lakshmisha revealed initiatives focusing on enhancing existing sites and creating new attractions.
Key projects include the development of Dr. Ambedkar Smriti Vanam, featuring a 125-foot statue of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP). Planned additions to the park include a theatre, commercial complex, book stalls, auditorium, and food court. Tenders for the project will be released soon.
Further development will target Pavitra Sangamam, the Ibrahimpatnam riverfront, canal bunds, and other tourist spots. The administration also plans to open a boat house and a floating restaurant on the Krishna River. A business summit, agriculture and horticulture shows, and a seafood festival are also on the horizon.
These projects aim to boost tourism and economic activity within the district.
