**Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh –** Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has issued a stern warning against the misuse of social media, particularly regarding character assassination, following the arrest of TDP member Chebrolu Kiran for abusive remarks against Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s wife.
Addressing a public meeting on Friday, Naidu stated that those who engage in such behavior will face severe consequences. He emphasized that the freedom restored under his government should not be misused, and his administration would act decisively against those spreading misinformation or acting irresponsibly. Kiran, who was suspended from the TDP on Thursday, was arrested on Friday for his comments.
Naidu’s comments come after Kiran’s arrest, highlighting the Chief Minister’s intolerance for online abuse. He drew a contrast between the current political climate and the previous YSRCP rule, which he characterized as a time of restricted freedom. He urged parents to instill responsibility in their children, referencing his past criticism of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly under the YSRCP regime.
