Fri Apr 11 03:20:00 UTC 2025: ## Scottie Pippen’s Son Transfers to Cal After One Season at Michigan

**BERKELEY, CA** – Justin Pippen, son of NBA legend Scottie Pippen, has announced his commitment to the University of California, Berkeley, after a single season with the University of Michigan. The news, shared on social media Tuesday, comes after Pippen entered the transfer portal shortly before Michigan’s Sweet Sixteen appearance.

Pippen, a former four-star recruit, saw limited playing time for the Wolverines during the 2024-25 season, averaging just 1.6 points, 0.7 rebounds, and 0.6 assists in 12 games. His best performance came against Purdue Fort Wayne, where he scored 10 points and grabbed four rebounds. He last played in Michigan’s regular season finale against Michigan State.

While he initially chose Michigan over several prestigious programs including Cal, Florida, Stanford, and Texas A&M, Pippen ultimately decided to transfer to the Golden Bears. He joins Dai Dai Ames (Virginia) and Milos Ilic (Loyola) as Cal’s third transfer portal addition this cycle. According to 247Sports, Pippen ranks No. 109 in the Transfer Portal Rankings.
