**Bengaluru, April 10, 2025** – A family of three perished in a tragic road accident near Nelamangala, Karnataka, on Thursday morning. Gopala (60), his wife Shashikala (54), and their daughter Deepa (25) were killed when their car collided with a road divider on the Bengaluru-Tumakuru Highway.
The accident occurred around 10:30 a.m. within the Nelamangala traffic police limits. The family was reportedly traveling to Hiriyur to attend a naming ceremony. Miraculously, Gopala’s two grandchildren, aged one-and-a-half and five years, who were also in the vehicle, escaped unharmed.
Police stated the impact of the crash was severe, resulting in the immediate deaths of the three adults. Their bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination, and an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident. A case has been registered.
