**Hyderabad, April 7, 2025** – Three men were arrested in Hyderabad on Saturday for allegedly running an illegal cricket betting operation linked to the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). The South-East Zone Task Force and Mangalhat Police apprehended Vicky Singh, V. Rakesh, and B. Sandeep, seizing ₹1.04 lakh in cash, six mobile phones, and a Samsung LED television, with the total value of seized assets estimated at ₹3 lakh.

Police stated that the accused were operating out of Nala Machilipura in Dhoolpet, accepting bets through phone lines provided by a Chennai-based bookie. Singh, identified as the main bookie in Hyderabad, obtained the lines from a Chennai contact. Rakesh served as a sub-bookie, while Sandeep was a regular bettor. The arrests followed a tip-off, leading to a raid and subsequent handover of the suspects and seized materials to Mangalhat police for further investigation. The investigation is ongoing.
