**CHENNAI, INDIA** – Gold prices in India experienced a significant drop today, while silver prices remained unchanged, according to the Vikatan web app. The price of 22-karat gold fell by ₹25 per gram and ₹200 per 8 grams (one sovereign/paun) compared to yesterday.
Currently, one gram of 22-karat gold is selling for ₹8,285, and one sovereign is priced at ₹66,280. Silver maintains its price at ₹103 per gram.
