Sat Apr 05 09:00:00 UTC 2025: ## Riot Games’ League of Legends TCG, Riftbound, Gets October Release Date

**London, UK** – Riot Games has officially announced *Riftbound: League of Legends Trading Card Game*, the long-awaited trading card game based on their popular MOBA title, *League of Legends*. Previously known as Project K, *Riftbound* will launch in October, with a 300-card initial set, *Riftbound: Origins*, hitting shelves in China this summer.

*Riftbound: Origins* will feature popular *League of Legends* champions such as Jinx, Garen, Lux, and Yasuo, all with original artwork. The game is designed for both traditional 1v1 matches and modern multiplayer formats, including 2v2 and free-for-all. Players can choose from pre-constructed Champion Decks, 14-card booster packs, or the Proving Grounds starter set, designed for teaching new players.

Riot emphasized its commitment to creating an accessible TCG experience, aiming to make the game easy to learn and teach to others. The developers have incorporated player feedback, including requests for more original art and UI refinements, into the final product. Demo events will be held at upcoming Riot events and tabletop gaming conventions.

Executive Producer Chengran Chai expressed gratitude for the community’s enthusiasm and early feedback. “We’ve been incredibly humbled by the excitement and interest from players around the world,” Chai stated. More information can be found at riftbound.leagueoflegends.com.
