NEW YORK, NY – MSNBC anchor Chris Jansing has sold her Manhattan condominium for $1.77 million, nearly matching her purchase price from 2017. The 1,100-square-foot Hell’s Kitchen apartment, located in a five-story building atop a historic post office, features a unique custom design including a lengthy “pocket wall” that allows for flexible living space. Other features include a ventless fireplace, a window seat, and a private 225-square-foot rooftop cabana with a built-in gas line for grilling.
Jansing, who purchased the unit for $1.78 million before its completion, worked with contractors to customize the space. The apartment, originally listed for around $2.1 million in 2021 and 2022, was most recently listed for $1.795 million before selling on Thursday. The buyer, a single woman represented by Christine Chiu of Compass, was reportedly seeking a move-in ready apartment and was attracted to the existing design. Jed Lewin of The Agency, who held the listing, described the apartment as “very, very elegant.” The building also offers residents access to a shared rooftop space and a gym.
