**Kochi, April 4, 2025** – The body of Athul P. Shabu, a 21-year-old student of the National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS) from Thiruvananthapuram, was recovered from the Periyar River near the Marthandavarma Bridge on Thursday. Shabu had been reported missing the previous night.
Police reported that Shabu had been residing with a relative in Aluva and was last seen on Wednesday evening. His motorcycle and mobile phone were found near the bridge where his body was recovered. An investigation into the cause of death is underway.
