Thu Apr 03 22:00:00 UTC 2025: ## Missing Pregnant Teen Found Safe in Nebraska After Two-Month Search

**OMAHA, NE –** Sophia Martha Franklin, a 16-year-old pregnant girl missing from Beaver Dam, Wisconsin since February, has been found safe. Authorities apprehended 40-year-old Gary Day, who was with her, near Omaha late Wednesday night.

Franklin was located at a truck stop following a tip from a vigilant trucker who noticed the young woman with Day and found their situation suspicious. After researching Franklin online, the trucker discovered she was a missing person and immediately contacted authorities. The trucker who was initially with Day and Franklin was not implicated in the incident.

Beaver Dam Police Chief John Kreuziger stated Franklin was taken to a hospital for evaluation and is healthy. Her family is en route to Nebraska for reunification. This will be their first time together since Day, a Cabot, Arkansas resident, allegedly abducted Franklin from her home on February 3rd.

Day, the father of Franklin’s unborn child, is currently in custody. He was already facing charges in Wisconsin for child abduction and enticement. Arkansas court records reveal a history of child endangerment and prior probation for related offenses. Day and Franklin initially met online and had a previous relationship that ended with a no-contact order. Despite the order, Day continued to communicate with Franklin and ultimately took her from her home.

The circumstances surrounding their presence in Nebraska are still under investigation. The case highlights the dangers of online interactions and the importance of vigilance in protecting vulnerable youth.
