**Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh –** Andhra Pradesh Revenue Minister A. Satya Prasad launched a new online slot booking system for document registrations on Friday, aiming to streamline the process and eliminate long wait times for citizens. The system allows individuals to schedule appointments at their convenience through the official website, reducing the need to wait in line at sub-registrar offices.

The initiative, currently available in 26 district registrar offices and soon to expand to all 296, aims to minimize the influence of intermediaries. Minister Prasad stated that after online data entry, fee payment, and document preparation, the registration process can be completed within 10 minutes at the office. While pre-booking is encouraged, walk-in registrations are still possible after 5 p.m., and even on holidays for a fee of ₹5,000. Pilot programs in Gandhinagar and Kankipadu sub-registrar offices have shown positive public response.
