Fri Apr 04 08:30:00 UTC 2025: ## Monster Hunter Wilds Receives Major Update with New Monster, Weapon Tweaks, and Bug Fixes

**London, UK – April 3, 2024** – Capcom has released Title Update 1 (TU1) for Monster Hunter Wilds, bringing significant changes to the popular RPG. The 6GB (or 16GB with high-resolution textures) update introduces the highly anticipated Mizutsune monster, along with a challenging high-rank battle against the story boss, Zoh Shia, available at Hunter Ranks (HR) 21 and 50 respectively. Both encounters reward players with new weapon and armor sets, and the upgrade limit for rarity 5 and higher armor has been increased.

TU1 also introduces the Grand Hub, a new social space offering daily login bonuses including meal and barrel bowling vouchers. While resting now costs more guild points, investigations yield a higher reward. Players can also customize Alma’s outfit as part of the upcoming Festival of Accord (April 23rd – May 6th).

Numerous weapon adjustments and bug fixes are included. The Hunting Horn’s multi-button input issues have been resolved, Lance thrust attacks improved, and Hammer focus strikes optimized. Ranged weapons received attention, fixing a sneak attack cancellation bug and addressing issues with Light Bowgun Wyvernblast mines and Bow’s Dragon Piercer damage. The update also buffs Rocksteady and Evasion Mantles while nerfing the Corrupted Mantle. Camera distance adjustments for monsters like Gore Magala improve visibility during hunts. Quality-of-life improvements include new camp gear options and a convenient “transfer items” function for the Provisions Stockpile.

Capcom also notes improvements to VRAM usage and an upgraded DirectStorage version. The update is live now.
