MADURAI, INDIA – April 4, 2025 – The Communist Party of China (CPC) sent a message to the 24th Congress of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)) in Madurai, highlighting the mutual benefit of improved Sino-Indian relations in a changing global order. The CPC emphasized its long-standing friendly exchanges with the CPI(M) and expressed its readiness to strengthen strategic communication and share governance experiences to further progress in bilateral relations and regional stability.
While past CPI(M) congresses featured visits from communist parties worldwide, this year’s event saw greetings from 34 countries instead. Messages of support highlighted shared concerns about the rise of the far right and US imperialism, emphasizing the need for resistance and the pursuit of national sovereignty, justice, and world peace. The Communist Party of Brazil and the Communist Party of Vietnam also sent messages expressing solidarity and their desire to strengthen ties with the CPI(M).
