**ERODE, April 2, 2025** – The Erode Corporation has announced a strong tax collection rate of 81.58% for the 2024-25 fiscal year, securing the third-highest position among the state’s 24 municipal corporations. A press release issued by Corporation Commissioner K. Dhanalakshmi stated that ₹87.19 crore was collected out of a total demand of ₹106.87 crore. This total comprised taxes levied on 427,338 assessments, including property taxes, trade taxes, and various utility charges.
The Corporation expressed its appreciation to taxpayers for their timely payments and encouraged continued cooperation. A 5% incentive is being offered for tax payments made before April 30, 2025, for the 2025-26 fiscal year.
