Sun Mar 30 09:52:25 UTC 2025: ## Bangalore-Kamakhya Express Derails in Odisha; No Injuries Reported
**Visakhapatnam, March 30, 2025:** Eleven coaches of the 12551 Bangalore-Kamakhya AC Superfast Express derailed near Nergundi Station in Odisha on Sunday, March 30th, at approximately 11:54 AM. According to East Coast Railway (ECoR), the derailment occurred in the Cuttack-Nergundi Railway Section of the Khurda Road division.
Miraculously, no injuries or casualties have been reported. Railway officials, including the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Khurda Road and the General Manager (GM) of ECoR, immediately arrived at the scene. An accident relief and medical relief train was dispatched to assist.
Authorities are working to transport the stranded passengers to their final destinations. A special train is being arranged to facilitate this. The cause of the derailment is currently under investigation.
