**Hyderabad, March 28, 2025** – The Telangana Legislative Assembly passed a resolution demanding fair delimitation of Lok Sabha constituencies, a move praised by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin. The resolution, championed by Telangana Chief Minister A. Chief Minister Stalin lauded Reddy’s swift action on a commitment made at a recent Joint Action Committee (JAC) meeting in Chennai. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Stalin stated that Telangana’s action strengthens the collective effort to oppose any attempts to unfairly alter the balance of power in Indian democracy. He anticipates further support from other states at the upcoming JAC meeting in Hyderabad.
Chief Minister Reddy echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the unity of Telangana and other southern states in protecting their rights against discriminatory delimitation. He described the passage of the resolution as a victory in an ongoing fight for fair representation. He further stated that the economically productive states of South India are united in their opposition to any unfair redrawing of constituencies.
