Thu Mar 27 19:29:08 UTC 2025: ## Police Outpost Established at Chennai Hospital Following Doctor Stabbing
**Chennai, March 28, 2025** – Four months after a senior oncologist was stabbed at the Kalaignar Centenary Super Specialty Hospital (KCSSH) in Guindy, a new police outpost has been established on the hospital premises. The J3 Guindy police station outpost was inaugurated Thursday by Health Minister Ma. Subramanian.
The move follows demands for increased security at the hospital, which opened in June 2023 and sees approximately 2,000 outpatients daily. Since its opening, the KCSSH has served a total of 504,113 outpatients and 169,888 inpatients.
The new outpost was established with the support of the Rotary Club of Kilpauk and the Rotary Club of Madras, in collaboration with the Police Department.
