**Bhadrachalam, Telangana (March 28, 2025)** – The Telangana government commenced distribution of compensation cheques totaling ₹34.45 crore to 40 families affected by land acquisition for the development of Mada streets surrounding the Sree Sitaramachandra Swamy temple in Bhadrachalam. The funds are part of a larger state government initiative to comprehensively develop the historic temple, often referred to as “South Ayodhya.”

Revenue Divisional Officer Damodar Rao distributed cheques worth ₹10.82 crore to 17 families on Friday, with the remaining compensation to be disbursed by Saturday. The project aims to improve the area surrounding the temple as per a master plan.
