**Hyderabad, March 27, 2025** – The Telangana State Task Force (STF) of the Excise Department arrested Sangeeta Sahu (alias Geeta Sahu), a major ganja supplier from Odisha, on March 27th. Sahu, a resident of Khallikote village, was apprehended with the assistance of local Odisha police and brought to Telangana for questioning.
According to the STF, Sahu has been involved in the wholesale ganja trade for the past four years, operating near Bhubaneswar and supplying large quantities across multiple states. She is implicated in several cases, including four in Hyderabad’s Dhoolpet area, where she allegedly supplied significant amounts of ganja to other suspects. She was previously arrested in 2022 by Secunderabad Railway Police for ganja smuggling but continued her illegal activities after her release.
The STF investigation is ongoing, aiming to identify and dismantle her extensive, cross-state network.
