Sun Mar 23 12:00:00 UTC 2025: ## Pakistani Batsman Sahibzada Farhan Shatters National T20 Record

**MULTAN, Pakistan –** Sahibzada Farhan etched his name into Pakistan cricket history on Friday, March 21st, smashing a record-breaking 162 runs in a National T20 Cup match. The 29-year-old Peshawar Region opener eclipsed Kamran Akmal’s eight-year-old record of 150 runs, achieving the feat against Quetta Region at the Multan Cricket Stadium.

Farhan’s blistering innings, which included 14 fours and 11 sixes from just 72 balls, propelled Peshawar to a massive 239/1. This score is not only a new national T20 high but also places him in joint third place on the all-time list of highest individual T20 scores globally, alongside Zimbabwe’s Hamilton Masakadza and Afghanistan’s Hazratullah Zazai. Only Chris Gayle (175*) and Aaron Finch (172) have scored more runs in a single T20 innings.

After the early dismissal of Waqar Ahmed, Farhan and Maaz Sadaqat (54 runs) formed a devastating partnership, overwhelming the Quetta bowlers. Peshawar ultimately secured a resounding 126-run victory, bowling out Quetta for 113 in 19.3 overs. Usman Tariq contributed significantly to the win with impressive bowling figures of 4/17, but Farhan was rightfully awarded the Player of the Match.
