**New Delhi, March 22, 2025** – The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 Political Science examination commenced today across 7,842 centers in India and 26 locations abroad. Approximately 42 lakh students are sitting for the Class 10 and 12 board exams this year. The exam, which began at 10:30 am, is expected to conclude at 1:30 pm.

CBSE officials emphasized strict adherence to examination rules. Students were instructed to arrive at their designated centers well before the 10:00 am deadline; late entry will not be permitted. A school uniform and only permitted stationery are required; electronic devices, including mobile phones and smartwatches, are strictly prohibited. Students must bring their CBSE admit cards and school ID cards.

The board also cautioned against the dissemination of exam-related material or rumors on social media platforms like WhatsApp, Telegram, YouTube, and X. Students are urged to review the updated rules on unfair practices outlined in the CBSE circular.

The Class 10 exams concluded on March 18th, while the Class 12 exams, which began February 15th with Entrepreneurship, will conclude on April 4th.
