Sat Mar 22 04:31:40 UTC 2025: ## Assam Rifles Wins Overall Championship at All India Police Shooting Competition
**Chennai, March 22, 2025** – Assam Rifles emerged victorious at the All India Police Shooting (AIPDM) Championship, securing the Overall Championship Trophy. The competition, hosted for the third time by the Tamil Nadu Police at the Tamil Nadu Commando School Training Centre in Chengalpattu District, concluded on March 17.
Assam Rifles also clinched the Rifle Shooting Championship Trophy. The Border Security Force (BSF) secured second place in both the overall and rifle shooting categories. Other notable wins include the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) taking the Pistol/Revolver Shooting Championship, and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) winning the Carbine/Sten gun Shooting Championship. Tamil Nadu Police won the Championship Trophy for the Overall Best Amongst States.
Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin presented the awards to the winners in the presence of Tamil Nadu’s Director General of Police, Shankar Jiwal.
