**Mangaluru, March 21, 2025** – The Class 10 SSLC-1 examinations commenced smoothly across Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts today, with thousands of students participating in the first language paper. In Dakshina Kannada, 28,728 students appeared for the exam, while 229 were absent. The highest number of students wrote the exam in Mangaluru North (5,269), followed by Mangaluru South (5,038), Puttur (4,695), and other blocks. Udupi district saw 13,830 students participating, with 65 absences. The exams were monitored via CCTV webcasting, ensuring a peaceful and transparent process, according to officials. The successful commencement marks a significant milestone for the students and the education boards.
