**New Delhi, March 21, 2025** – Stand-up comedian Samay Raina announced the rescheduling of his India tour on Thursday, following the cancellation of his Delhi shows and other performances amid a controversy sparked by YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia’s now-deleted web show, “India’s Got Latent.”

Raina’s announcement, made via Instagram Stories, cited the need to reschedule his tour and promised that refunds would be issued shortly. The controversy erupted in February after Allahbadia’s comments on parents and sex generated widespread outrage, leading to multiple police complaints against both him and those involved with the show.

Raina faced summons from the Maharashtra Cyber Cell to record his statement regarding the matter. While he missed an initial summons on March 17th, he subsequently appeared before the cell on March 19th. Reports also indicate that his Gujarat shows were cancelled earlier in February due to the backlash.

Both Allahbadia and Raina have attempted to mitigate the fallout. Allahbadia issued two apologies, while Raina removed all episodes of “India’s Got Latent” from his YouTube channel. Last month, the Supreme Court granted Allahbadia interim protection from arrest, while criticizing his comments as “vulgar” and shaming society. Raina’s tour rescheduling marks the latest development in the ongoing controversy.
