**Boston, MA** – The University of Maine Black Bears men’s hockey team will face off against the Northeastern Huskies in the Hockey East semifinals Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at TD Garden. This matchup pits the second-seeded Black Bears (22-7-6) against the ninth-seeded Huskies (14-19-3), marking Northeastern’s unprecedented run as the lowest seed ever to reach the semifinals.

UMaine co-captain Lynden Breen lauded head coach Ben Barr’s leadership and work ethic, attributing the team’s success to his influence. A victory Thursday would propel the Black Bears into Friday’s championship game against either UConn or Boston University, also at TD Garden at 7:30 p.m.
