Fri Mar 21 04:30:52 UTC 2025: ## Kannur BJP Worker’s Murder: Breakdown in Friendship Cited as Motive
**Kannur, Kerala – March 21, 2025** – The murder of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) worker K. K. Radhakrishnan in Kannur, Kerala, on Thursday has been linked to a fractured friendship between the victim’s wife and the accused, Santhosh, according to a police First Information Report (FIR).
Police investigations revealed that Santhosh, an unmarried classmate of Radhakrishnan’s wife, a BJP district committee member, and the victim’s wife had a falling out. This deterioration in their relationship escalated into the fatal attack.
The incident occurred around 7:10 PM on Thursday at a newly constructed house Radhakrishnan frequented. Santhosh, allegedly armed with a gun, is believed to have been aware of Radhakrishnan’s presence. Police are currently searching a nearby well for the suspected murder weapon, which Santhosh allegedly discarded after the crime.
Santhosh, reportedly intoxicated at the time of his arrest, confessed to the crime during questioning. A post-mortem examination of Radhakrishnan’s body is scheduled for Friday at Kannur Government Medical College Hospital. The investigation continues.
