**Hyderabad, India** – Panjagutta police conducted extensive questioning of TV anchor Vishnupriya and social media influencer Reethu Chowdhary on Thursday. The two were questioned in connection with the promotion of online betting apps on social media.
Vishnupriya underwent an 11-hour interrogation, while Reethu Chowdhary’s questioning lasted over five and a half hours. Police initially questioned them separately before conducting a joint interrogation.
The questioning focused on who contacted them to promote the apps, the amount of remuneration received, the nature of the agreement, and the social media platforms used for the promotion.
Sources indicate that Vishnupriya admitted to promoting three apps. However, when police questioned her about promoting 15 apps, as their investigations suggested, she reportedly claimed ignorance and stated that her manager handled all contract negotiations.
Reethu Chowdhary arrived at the police station later in the afternoon and was questioned both individually and alongside Vishnupriya. The police also inquired about bank transactions and the income generated from promoting the betting apps.
Police have indicated that further questioning may be necessary. The investigation is ongoing.
