**Bhopal, March 16:** Madhya Pradesh has witnessed a change in weather patterns with light to moderate rainfall in several districts following the early March heat. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for several districts, predicting thunderstorms, lightning, and hail.
Rainfall was reported across various parts of the state on Thursday, particularly in Rewa, Jabalpur, Shahdol, and Sagar divisions. The IMD has issued a three-day rain alert, with a specific orange alert for Anuppur, Shahdol, Umaria, and Dindori districts on Friday. The alert warns of thunderstorms, lightning, and hail.
Over the past 24 hours, most areas have experienced moderate rainfall, providing respite from the rising temperatures. Day and night temperatures have slightly decreased, with the highest temperature recorded at 34.1 degrees Celsius in Neemuch. Air quality has improved in several areas, with Ujjain reporting the lowest Air Quality Index (AQI) in the state at 88.
The IMD forecasts hail, thunderstorms, and gusty winds for several districts on March 21st, including Mauganj, Sidhi, Singrauli, Shahdol, Seoni, Mandla, and Balaghat. Other districts are expected to experience thunderstorms, gusty winds, and light rain. For March 22nd, light showers and cloudy skies are predicted for several districts in the state. The change in weather has led to pleasant conditions across the state, reducing the intensity of the early March heat.
